A short story about MNTHM
Kobe Manotham Lecuyer, a 24-year-old designer with Lao–Québécois roots, is the force behind MNTHM.
Originally set on a path in science, Kobe quickly realized that formulas couldn’t contain his intuition. Precision? Yes. But emotion, tension, and structure? That couldn’t be found in a textbook. He turned away from the lab and into the studio, earning his degree in Fashion Design from LaSalle College.
What followed was MNTHM: a brand built on contrast—soft edges in sharp forms, delicacy wrapped in discipline. Kobe’s designs don’t whisper trends—they speak in angles, layers, and weight.
Drawing from his Lao heritage and spiritual path as a revert Muslim, Kobe approaches fashion not only as a craft, but as a form of balance and self-respect. The work is intentional, reflective, and free from excess—guided by both inner clarity and the world’s rawness.
A designer with the energy of a poet and the eye of an engineer, Kobe doesn’t just clothe the body.
He constructs a silhouette worth staring at.
wHO IS BEHIND MNTHM ?

Why MNTHM ?
MNTHM is born from a name—Manotham—Kobe’s Lao middle name, rooted in Thai and LAO origin.
It speaks of humanity, perseverance, and inner calm. A name often given with the hope that the bearer grows into quiet strength, spiritual clarity, and balance.
Stripped to its core, MNTHM becomes something raw and minimal—almost coded.
But beneath that clean modern shell lies a rich cultural memory.
It echoes the soft wisdom of temples, the structure of ancient philosophy, and the silent force of those who carry worlds without making noise.
In MNTHM’s silhouettes, you’ll find that same contrast—the discipline of tailoring meets the fluidity of spirit.
It’s not just a brand.
It’s a practice in stillness and strength. In building identity, piece by piece.
